The plant, located in Webb County, 20 kilometers from Laredo, has a capacity of 200 MW and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/start-up-gigafabrica-de-baterias-lfp-europa\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"182620\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LFP (lithium iron phosphate) lithium-ion batteries<\/a><\/strong> , ideal for meeting the growing demand for renewable energy storage in the region.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Guajillo battery plant will be key in Texas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Strategically located next to the Coraz\u00f3n Solar Farm, also operated by Plenitude, Guajillo maximizes operational synergies over an area of approximately 800 hectares. The plant is scheduled to <strong>begin commercial operations in mid-2025<\/strong> , consolidating the company&#8217;s presence in the dynamic US <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/renewable-energy-in-energy-security\/\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"126943\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">renewable energy<\/a><\/strong> market. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eniplenitude.es\/blog\/actualidad\/plenitude-finaliza-la-construccion-almacenamiento-de-baterias-en-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/eniplenitude.es\/blog\/actualidad\/plenitude-finaliza-la-construccion-almacenamiento-de-baterias-en-texas\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guajillo plant<\/a><\/strong> ensures efficient energy storage and also contributes to stabilizing the electrical grid of a region that is experiencing a boom in renewable generation. According to Patrick Monino, director of Plenitude Renewables North America, lithium-ion batteries are transforming the ability to integrate clean energy into electrical systems, allowing for greater penetration of renewable sources. <\/p>\n\n<p>Plenitude, present in more than 15 countries, is advancing towards its goal of reaching 8 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2027.
