Renowned Norwegian shipyard Ulstein Verft<\/a><\/strong> has taken a crucial step in building the first CSOV SX222 vessel equipped with TWIN X-STERN technology for BS Offshore. This achievement represents a significant step forward in the offshore wind industry, where efficiency and sustainability are paramount. <\/p>\n\n

The hull of the SX222, designed and built in collaboration with companies from the Ulstein Group in Poland, is already at the shipyard docks. This vessel is distinguished by its innovative architecture and superior operational performance, ensuring safe and efficient operations in demanding environments<\/strong> . In addition, its ability to use methanol as fuel and its diesel-electric propulsion system<\/a><\/strong> with battery storage reflect a commitment to reducing emissions. <\/p>\n\n

Equipment and technology<\/strong> of the first CSOV SX222 vessel<\/h2>\n\n

The vessel, currently in the full assembly phase, will include the installation of electrical and mechanical systems, accommodation for up to 132 people and specialized equipment.<\/strong> Notable features include a 3D-compensated crane and a Walk-to-Work<\/a><\/strong> gangway, designed for safe and precise transfers to offshore wind turbines<\/a><\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n
