The facility will be strategically located next to Pembroke Power Station, and will feature a 100 MWe electrolyser achieving a production of two tonnes of hydrogen per hour. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The green hydrogen plant in Pembroke<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/turbine-gas-hydrogen-hydro-electric-power-plants\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/turbina-gas-hidrogeno-centrales-electricas\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clean fuel<\/a><\/strong> will be transported through pipelines directly to industries in the region, helping to reduce some 93,000 tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing 18,600 cars from the roads.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>RWE Generation<\/strong> \u2019s hydrogen operations director Sopna Sury said: \u201c <em>With this approval, Wales is leading the energy transition, placing green hydrogen at the heart of renewable innovation<\/em> .\u201d She added that this development supports the UK\u2019s goal of reaching 10GW of green hydrogen capacity by 2030. <\/p>\n\n<p>The project is also part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/power-plant-electric-pembroke-terminal-gnl\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"138033\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South Wales Industrial Cluster<\/a><\/strong> ( <em>SWIC<\/em> ), a collaborative initiative that promotes decarbonisation across the region.
