Taihan Cable & Solution is expanding its production capacity with the construction of a new submarine cable manufacturing plant<\/strong> in the Godae district of Dangjin, South Korea. This second facility, which will be located adjacent to the original plant, will strengthen its position as a leader in the submarine cable<\/a><\/strong> industry. <\/p>\n\n

Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2025 and be completed in the first half of 2027.<\/p>\n\n

The new plant will expand Taihan\u2019s submarine cable production capacity and enable it to meet the growing demand for HVDC (high voltage direct current) and export cables. The site was strategically selected as it is close to the first plant that focused on manufacturing inter-array cables for offshore wind projects<\/a><\/strong> , such as the Yeonggwang Nakwol project in South Korea. <\/p>\n\n

Advanced technology for the manufacture of submarine cables<\/h2>\n\n

The project includes the installation of cutting-edge technology such as vertical continuous vulcanization (VCV) facilities, which are critical for the production of export cables and HVDC cables. Taihan also plans to complete the construction of this advanced plant by mid-2025, further consolidating its presence as a key player in the manufacturing of cables for renewable energy. <\/p>\n\n
