Qair, a leading renewable energy company, has taken a significant step in its expansion across Italy by inaugurating its first fully developed solar photovoltaic park in the country<\/strong> . Located in the Marrubi\u00f9 industrial estate, in the province of Oristano, Sardinia, this plant has a capacity of 8.2 MWp and is designed to generate 12.7 GWh of renewable energy<\/a><\/strong> per year. This amount of energy is enough to supply around 3,000 homes and avoid the emission of 350 tonnes of CO\u2082 each year. <\/p>\n\n

First solar park developed by the company in Italy<\/h2>\n\n

This project marks a step forward in the company’s growth in the clean energy<\/a><\/strong> sector in Italy. Although the company already had an installed capacity of 21 MW in the country, this is the first solar plant that has been fully developed by it<\/strong> , standing out for its size and also for its integration with local communities. <\/p>\n\n

The Marrubi\u00f9 solar plant was authorised in 2021 and construction began in June 2023.<\/strong> The facility is located on municipal land, which will benefit the community with rental income from the land for the next 30 years. This agreement reinforces Qair’s commitment to local economies and long-term sustainability. <\/p>\n\n

This project adds to Qair\u2019s portfolio of renewable projects in Italy, which also includes the 12.5 MW Garessio wind farm in Piedmont. With plans to begin construction of an additional 95 MW of solar<\/a> projects<\/a><\/strong> by 2025, Qair continues to consolidate its presence in the Italian market, with a pipeline of 1.5 GW of projects under development, including wind, solar and renewable hydrogen. <\/p>\n\n
