According to the president, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/reopen-black-gold-cerro-mine-in-argentina\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"158570\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">gold deposits<\/a><\/strong> could radically transform the Salvadoran economy, making this discovery a central element of his proposal for economic reactivation. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Economic transformation for El Salvador<\/h2>\n\n<p>According to Bukele, the reserves in hidden treasures could <strong>exceed 8,800% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)<\/strong> , which would radically transform its economic panorama, marked by limited growth and social challenges such as the high level of poverty.<\/p>\n\n<p>Despite these promises of prosperity, the government has also acknowledged the <strong>risks associated with <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/best-practices-for-the-future-of-mining\/\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"152281\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mining<\/a><\/strong> . Large-scale mining poses environmental and social risks, especially in an area like the Ring of Fire, known for its volcanic activity and ecological fragility.
