With an investment of approximately <strong>6.7 million dollars<\/strong> , the project&#8217;s main objective is the ecological recovery of the lake, which has faced serious <strong>environmental deterioration for more than a century<\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ultrasonic buoys: the key to combating toxic algae<\/h2>\n\n<p>One of the project&#8217;s most notable initiatives is the <strong>installation of 60 technological buoys<\/strong> at strategic points in the lake. Source: Press Office of the President <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>This effort is part of a series of innovative technologies that seek to promote sustainability and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/waste-management-in-storage-tanks\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"179876\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">environmental management<\/a><\/strong> in the region. In addition to ultrasonic buoys, the project also includes a reverse osmosis system that purifies the water, <strong>making it suitable for human consumption<\/strong> . However, authorities clarify that, due to its volcanic origin, the lake&#8217;s water remains unsuitable for direct consumption due to the presence of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/sulfur-on-the-moon-rover-indio-confirmed\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"97086\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sulfur<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/scientists-develop-the-first-metal-free-battery-cell\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"70752\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">heavy metals<\/a><\/strong> .  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Improvement of Lake Coatepeque<\/h2>\n\n<p>One of the most outstanding features of the project is the installation of monitoring systems that allow real-time monitoring <strong>of water quality, climate and volcanic activity in the area<\/strong> . This technology will allow detecting any changes in the conditions of the lake and responding quickly to any environmental emergency. <\/p>\n\n<p>President Nayib Bukele and the Salvadoran Water Authority (ASA) have reaffirmed their commitment to ecosystem restoration and the well-being of local communities.
