Source: REM Offshore <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The REM Pioneer ship is the first of its kind<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>REM Pioneer will be delivered in 2026<\/strong> as the first vessel of its kind to combine <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/new-dual-fuel-methanol-engine\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"111607\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dual-fuel<\/a><\/strong> methanol engines with battery systems. This technology <strong>reduces energy consumption by 50% compared to similar vessels<\/strong> and meets future zero-emission standards. In addition, it will feature a <strong>250-tonne<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/mammoet-builds-sk6000-the-worlds-largest-electric-crane\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"83519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">electric crane<\/a><\/strong> that regenerates energy and a 1,400 m\u00b2 working deck.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The vessel is also equipped to accommodate an offshore walkway, facilitating its use in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/india-bidding-for-marine-wind-power\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"126731\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind energy<\/a><\/strong> projects.
