Archer Aviation Inc. and the Abu Dhabi authorities have formalized a landmark agreement to develop Abu Dhabi\u2019s first commercial electric air taxi flights<\/strong> in the region. This multi-party agreement brings together key players in aviation, technology and infrastructure, with the aim of establishing a robust ecosystem for the operation of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicles<\/a><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n

The collaboration was announced at the Autonomous and Intelligent Systems Council (SASC) and aims to make Archer Aviation the first eVTOL aircraft manufacturer in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). The goal is to launch commercial flights in Abu Dhabi, with plans to expand the air taxi network to other key locations in the country. <\/p>\n\n

In addition to Archer Aviation<\/a><\/strong> , this agreement involves several strategic entities including Abu Dhabi Airports, Falcon Aviation Services, Etihad Aviation Training, and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), among others. Together, these organizations are building the infrastructure needed to enable electric air transport in the region, creating an enabling environment for mass adoption of advanced urban mobility solutions. <\/p>\n\n

His Excellency Badr Al-Olama, Director General of Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), highlighted that this partnership reinforces Abu Dhabi\u2019s role<\/a><\/strong> as a global leader in the advanced air mobility sector. <\/p>\n\n
