Encavis AG, one of Europe\u2019s leading renewable energy operators, has successfully commissioned the largest solar park in its portfolio in Germany<\/strong> . The project, located in Borrentin (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), has a capacity of 114 megawatts (MW) and is now the company\u2019s largest solar project<\/a><\/strong> in the country. With the installation of 200,000 photovoltaic modules, this megaproject contributes 121 gigawatt hours (GWh) annually to the power grid, producing clean and sustainable electricity. <\/p>\n\n

Borrentin solar park boosts Encavis expansion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Borrentin solar plant marks an important step towards its ambitious goal of reaching 7 gigawatts (GW) of grid-connected capacity in Europe by 2027. Mario Schirru, CIO\/COO of the company, highlighted that this project was carried out in collaboration with BELECTRIC, a leading supplier in the construction of solar plants<\/a><\/strong> , and with the support of the municipality of Borrentin and the owner of the land. In addition, thanks to this new solar plant, Encavis’ total connected generation capacity in Germany amounts to 700 MW. <\/p>\n\n

BELECTRIC CEO Thorsten Blanke said the rapid implementation of the project was made possible by the expertise of both companies, noting that BELECTRIC’s solar installations<\/a><\/strong> in Germany now total more than 1.2 gigawatts of capacity, equivalent to the nominal power of a nuclear power plant.<\/p>\n\n

This project also marks the start of a long-term collaboration with Allego, a company dedicated to developing charging infrastructures for electric vehicles across Europe. Allego will use the energy generated by the Borrentin solar park<\/a><\/strong> to supply its charging stations<\/a><\/strong> , thus contributing to the growth of electric mobility on the continent. <\/p>\n\n
