Both space achievements are part of the <strong>Copernicus programme<\/strong> and strengthen Europe&#8217;s ability to access space independently. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sentinel-1C satellite will improve Earth observation<\/h2>\n\n<p>This satellite was launched from the <strong>spaceport in Kourou<\/strong> , French Guiana, aboard the Vega-C launcher. This new addition to the EU Earth observation programme expands the Sentinel satellite network, intended for global monitoring of the Earth. It was equipped with high-resolution radar, very important for monitoring climate change, environmental health and maritime traffic, among other scientific and operational applications.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/video-tv\/esa-crea-un-eclipse-artificial\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"video-tv\" data-id=\"203162\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Space Agency<\/a><\/strong> ( <em>ESA<\/em> ) Director General Josef Aschbacher said: &#8221; <em>The launch of Sentinel-1C is a significant step towards addressing global challenges, such as monitoring climate change and responding to natural disasters, while ensuring the continuity of data needed for analysis of oceans, glaciers and land<\/em> .&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>The VV25 mission marked the successful return of the Vega-C rocket, which had previously faced a challenge in 2022. The Vega-C is one of Europe&#8217;s most promising solutions for light satellite launches and other space missions. <\/p>\n\n<p>ESA Director of Space Transportation Toni Tolker-Nielsen said: &#8220;<em>Today we celebrate the successful return of Vega-C to space, strengthening our position in the space sector.
