Seaspan Energy, a leading Canadian maritime company, has made significant progress by successfully completing its first ship-to-ship liquefied natural gas (LNG) transfer at the Port of Long Beach. This milestone marks the start of its LNG bunkering operations on the West Coast of North America, with plans to extend this service to the Ports of Vancouver in the near future. <\/p>\n\n

Garibaldi’s historic ship-to-ship LNG transfer<\/h2>\n\n

The Seaspan Garibaldi, the first of three vessels designed specifically for ship-to-ship LNG supply, was tasked with carrying out this historic operation. At 112 metres long, the vessel is adapted to carry out low-emission operations and promote a more sustainable model in maritime transport. In the coming months, the Seaspan Garibaldi will be joined by the Seaspan Lions, which will allow it to cover a greater part of the demand in the region. <\/p>\n\n

This ship-to-ship LNG supply is the result of five years of work and marks a crucial step for the maritime sector in North America.
