The project <strong>has started generating power following the successful connection of its first solar units to the grid<\/strong> . Covering 1,223 hectares and with 2,934 installed PV platforms, this solar power plant is the largest of its kind in the world and marks a significant step forward in the country\u2019s energy transition.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A model for the future of renewable energy<\/h2>\n\n<p>Developed by Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CHN Energy, <strong>the project has a total installed capacity of 1 gigawatt<\/strong> , enough to supply electricity to 2.6 million people per year. This achievement contributes to China\u2019s efforts to achieve <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/iberdrola-and-burger-king-renewable-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"170739\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">carbon neutrality<\/a><\/strong> by 2060 and sets a new standard in the renewable energy industry. <\/p>\n\n<p>The solar facility is unique for its integrated development approach, combining <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/energy-know-bladeless-wind-turbines\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"115190\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clean energy<\/a><\/strong> generation with fish farming. These benefits reflect China\u2019s commitment to its energy and environmental future, aligning with global sustainability and decarbonisation goals. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The technological innovation behind the project<\/h2>\n\n<p>In addition to its scale, this project incorporates a key technological innovation: the use of a 66 kilovolt submarine cable for long-distance electricity transmission.
