Clean Hydrogen Works<\/strong> ( CHW<\/em> ) is collaborating with McDermott<\/strong> to provide front-end engineering and design ( FEED<\/em> ) for the ACE project. Located in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, the project aims to produce clean ammonia and capture carbon in the region. <\/p>\n\n

The ACE project seeks to improve ammonia production<\/h2>\n\n

This approach initially seeks to produce 2.4 million metric tons of clean ammonia per year, with plans to expand to 7.2 million tons in later phases. This ammonia generated through clean hydrogen will have applications in fertilizers and fuels. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, CHW has secured carbon capture and storage<\/a><\/strong> ( CCS<\/em> ) agreements with ExxonMobil<\/strong> , further reinforcing its commitment to mitigating the effects of climate change. The implementation of CCS will ensure that ammonia production can meet the most stringent environmental safety standards. <\/p>\n\n

The partnership with McDermott is highlighted by its capability in modular design and implementation of large infrastructure projects. According to Johnny Cook, CHW’s Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction, ” This collaboration leverages McDermott’s expertise to deliver an efficient and on-budget project<\/em> .” <\/p>\n\n

Furthermore, the process is supported by major financial players such as Goldman Sachs<\/strong> , who advise on the economic structure of the project. In addition, it foresees that the final investment decision ( FID<\/em> ) will be taken in 2025, with production scheduled for 2029. <\/p>\n\n

McDermott\u2019s Senior Vice President of Low Carbon Solutions, Rob Shaul, highlighted the significance of the project: \u201c ACE demonstrates our leadership in sustainable technologies, using a repeatable modular model that reduces risk and ensures quality<\/em> .\u201d The company\u2019s ability to operate from multiple locations, including Houston and Gurugram, India, ensures efficient global execution. <\/p>\n\n
