In a decisive step towards decarbonisation, Amazon has announced the construction of three large-scale wind farms<\/a> in Greece<\/strong> . This project, which represents the company\u2019s largest renewable energy investment in the country, seeks to contribute to both its sustainability goals and Greece\u2019s National Energy and Climate Plan. The farms are estimated to generate enough energy to power nearly 200,000 Greek homes per year. <\/p>\n\n

The initiative includes the Vermio, Mesokorfi and Koukouras wind farms, spread across Macedonia and the Peloponnese. These projects, which will be operational in 2026<\/strong> , will mark a significant step towards the energy transition of the Hellenic country. Greece, currently 48% dependent on fossil fuels<\/a><\/strong> , will see a positive impact on its energy network by incorporating renewable sources. <\/p>\n\n
