The Mercedes-Benz eIntouro, with a range of up to 500 kilometres, is the first electric intercity bus with LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries<\/a><\/strong> . This model ensures efficiency over longer distances and guarantees optimised maintenance thanks to its ability to receive software updates over the air (OTA). This reduces time spent in workshops and improves availability for operators. <\/p>\n\n

The electric bus with 700 km of autonomy<\/h2>\n\n

In addition to the eIntouro, Daimler Buses has also taken a step forward with the new generation of NMC4 batteries<\/a><\/strong> , which will be available from 2026. These batteries, with a higher energy density, promise to extend the autonomy of electric buses<\/a> to record figures<\/strong> , such as 700 kilometers in some urban models. <\/p>\n\n

The eCitaro bus<\/a><\/strong> , equipped with hydrogen-based fuel cell<\/a><\/strong> technology, reinforces the vision of public transport independent of electrical infrastructure, allowing more flexible options for operators.<\/p>\n\n

A global commitment<\/h2>\n\n

Daimler Buses is firmly committed to decarbonizing public transport<\/a><\/strong> . According to its roadmap, the company aims to offer carbon-neutral battery-electric or hydrogen-based vehicles for all local applications in its key markets in Europe and Latin America by 2030. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, the company provides customized electric buses and complete infrastructure solutions<\/strong> , including electric and hydrogen depots. This comprehensive approach has resulted in the award of more than 40 global projects in 2024. <\/p>\n\n
