In a recent announcement, the company has exercised options for the construction of two new Shaper-class vessels, each with a capacity of 11,700 CEU. This move reinforces its commitment to long-term growth and sustainability in the maritime sector.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shaper Class Ship Fleet Expansion<\/h2>\n\n<p>Wallenius Wilhelmsen\u2019s fleet continues to expand with these two new vessels, which will be built at China Merchants Jingling Shipyard Co., Ltd. These new orders are part of a larger agreement that includes further ship options by 2025. <strong>Delivery of these vessels is scheduled for the second half of 2028.<\/strong> This strengthening of the fleet reinforces its long-term strategy and is aligned with the company\u2019s efforts to achieve its sustainability goals. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/no.linkedin.com\/company\/walleniuswilhelmsen\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/no.linkedin.com\/company\/walleniuswilhelmsen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wallenius Wilhelmsen<\/a><\/strong> has also announced its intention <strong>to increase the size of two further vessels from 9,300 CEU to 11,700 CEU<\/strong> . This brings the total number of larger capacity vessels in its fleet to eight, enabling it to offer enhanced roll-on\/roll-off services. These changes are part of the company\u2019s ambitious strategy to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/shell-leaves-plan-reduce-carbon-footprint\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"97843\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reduce its carbon footprint<\/a><\/strong> , with the aim of offering a net-zero service from 2027.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Following the latest announcement, Wallenius Wilhelmsen <strong>will have a total of 14 Shaper class vessels in its fleet<\/strong> , with a mix of 11,700 CEU and 9,300 CEU vessels.
