This <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/largest-offshore-floating-solar-plant\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"203972\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">solar plant<\/a><\/strong> , the largest in China in terms of installed capacity in a coal mine subsidence area, marks an important step towards energy sustainability. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The facility is expected to generate 5.7 billion kilowatt-hours annually<\/strong> , enough to power two million homes.<\/p>\n\n<p>The environmental impact is significant, as the project will save 1.71 million tons of standard coal annually and <strong>reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 4.7 million tons<\/strong> , equivalent to planting 62,700 hectares of trees. Source: CHN Energy <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits of the new photovoltaic plant<\/h2>\n\n<p>The project uses innovative materials, such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/company-advances-rare-earths-exploration\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"188223\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rare earth alloys<\/a><\/strong> for grounding, which reduce costs by 40%. In addition, the decision to use steel instead of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/carpet-fibers-improve-concrete\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"205529\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concrete<\/a><\/strong> for the panel bases minimizes the ecological impact on nearby grasslands. This approach has generated multiple economic and social benefits, boosting local development and supporting the National Energy Transmission Strategy.  <\/p>\n\n<p>CHN Energy is committed to further advancing solar technology. With an <strong>investment of 1.6 billion USD<\/strong> , the project also strengthens the local <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/mining-supply-chain-optimization\/\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"169227\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supply chain<\/a><\/strong> and encourages the use of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/video-tv\/alianza-google-y-elawan\/\" data-type=\"video-tv\" data-id=\"191834\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clean energy<\/a><\/strong> on a large scale.
