On November 5, the Mengxi Blue Ocean PV Power Plant, developed by CHN Energy, began operating and was connected to the power grid<\/a><\/strong> . This solar plant<\/a><\/strong> , the largest in China in terms of installed capacity in a coal mine subsidence area, marks an important step towards energy sustainability. <\/p>\n\n

The facility is expected to generate 5.7 billion kilowatt-hours annually<\/strong> , enough to power two million homes.<\/p>\n\n

The environmental impact is significant, as the project will save 1.71 million tons of standard coal annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 4.7 million tons<\/strong> , equivalent to planting 62,700 hectares of trees. The plant has 5.9 million solar panels<\/a><\/strong> installed and is located in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, serving as a model for solar development in desert and wasteland areas. <\/p>\n\n

The project uses innovative materials, such as rare earth alloys<\/a><\/strong> for grounding, which reduce costs by 40%. In addition, the decision to use steel instead of concrete<\/a><\/strong> for the panel bases minimizes the ecological impact on nearby grasslands. This approach has generated multiple economic and social benefits, boosting local development and supporting the National Energy Transmission Strategy. <\/p>\n\n
