Aerospace company Exosonic<\/strong> has officially announced the closure of its operations after more than five years dedicated to the development of silent supersonic travel<\/strong> and supersonic drone<\/strong> technologies. The company leaves behind a legacy that includes the demonstration of subsonic scale flight and notable advances in aircraft design. <\/p>\n\n

Exosonic’s cessation of operations <\/h2>\n\n

Despite progress, such as the creation of three unique vehicles, the Horizon aircraft,<\/em> the Revenant supersonic UAV<\/em> , and the Trident subscale UAV<\/em> , the company failed to secure the financial support necessary to move forward with its projects.<\/p>\n\n

Exosonic<\/strong> \u2019s founders said they continue to believe in the need for quiet supersonic flight and advanced solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense. However, without sufficient backing from government and commercial customers, the company\u2019s cash needs became unsustainable. <\/p>\n\n

” We are proud of what we were able to accomplish with the resources we had<\/em> ,” the Exosonic team said. The company highlighted its capabilities, including wind tunnel testing and test flights under limited time and budget, something few companies have achieved. The Trident UAV<\/strong> , which completed flight tests last April, reflected the talent and commitment of its engineers. <\/p>\n\n

Exosonic thanked everyone who contributed to its journey, including employees, customers, investors, mentors and partners. The company acknowledged the support received from the press, which helped tell its story globally.
