Enlight Renewable Energy and its US subsidiary Cl\u0113nera have signed a major power purchase agreement (PPA) with Arizona Public Service (APS) to develop the ambitious Snowflake A project<\/strong> , located near Holbrook in northeastern Arizona. This project, which includes 600 MW of solar generation capacity and 1,900 MWh of energy storage<\/a><\/strong> , is shaping up to be one of the most significant initiatives in Enlight\u2019s portfolio. <\/p>\n\n

Snowflake A will transform northeastern Arizona<\/h2>\n\n

The PPA, with a fixed price and a 20-year term, ensures a continuous supply of clean and stable energy<\/a><\/strong> to APS users. Construction is projected to begin in 2025<\/strong> , with commercial operation expected in mid-2027, provided the necessary regulatory permits are obtained. Otherwise, the company may terminate the agreement without significant costs. <\/p>\n\n

Cl\u0113nera CEO Adam Pishl highlighted the significance of the project: \u201c We have worked extensively with the authorities to design a development that will fully exploit the solar potential of the region and benefit the local community<\/em> .\u201d A second phase of the Snowflake complex<\/a><\/strong> is also being planned, which will increase capacity by a further 650 MW and 2,100 MWh<\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n
