Located in Changhua County, Taiwan, the facility covers 347 hectares and has a total capacity of 373 MWac<\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n

Backed by global infrastructure fund I Squared Capital and in collaboration with the Taiwanese government, this project exemplifies the next generation of energy innovation.<\/p>\n\n

The largest offshore floating solar plant<\/h2>\n\n

Started in 2020, the first phase was built by Chenya Energy, a subsidiary of I Squared, with a production of 181 MWac. Following the acquisition by HEXA Renewables, a second phase of 192 MWac was added, consolidating this plant as a benchmark model in the renewable energy<\/a><\/strong> sector. <\/p>\n\n

This plant is impressive in its scale and contributes significantly to Taiwan\u2019s ambitious decarbonisation goals as the country seeks to achieve 20 GW of renewable energy by 2025 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.<\/p>\n\n

With the capacity to supply clean energy to 74,000 homes<\/strong> and reduce 136,000 tons of CO\u2082 emissions annually, this project stands out as a crucial step forward in reducing the global carbon footprint<\/a><\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n
