V\u00e5rgr\u00f8nn<\/a><\/strong> is advancing its commitment to renewable energy by entering the competitive German offshore wind market. The company, a joint venture between Plenitude (Eni) and HitecVision, has secured a 27.4% stake in the Baltic 2 wind farm<\/strong> , which has a capacity of 288 MW and is strategically located in the Baltic Sea, 32 km north of the island of R\u00fcgen. <\/p>\n\n

The operation marks a milestone for V\u00e5rgr\u00f8nn, giving it access to valuable operational know-how in the management of offshore wind farms. Baltic 2, managed by EnBW for operation and maintenance, contributes approximately 1,200 GWh of renewable energy annually<\/strong> , enough to power 340,000 homes and mitigate nearly 900,000 tonnes of CO\u2082 emissions<\/a><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n

Germany, a leader in renewable energy<\/a><\/strong> with ambitious goals of reaching 30 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030<\/strong> , becomes a key market for V\u00e5rgr\u00f8nn\u2019s growth. <\/p>\n\n

\u00c4rzteversorgung Westfalen-Lippe, Germany\u2019s largest pension fund, will retain a 22.5% stake in Baltic 2<\/a><\/strong> . EnBW, which owns 50.1%, will continue to lead technical operations, ensuring continued efficient management of the park. This agreement also reinforces EnBW\u2019s commitment to climate neutrality by 2035, underlining its massive investment in clean energy<\/a><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n
