Walmart<\/strong> has introduced Chevrolet<\/strong> BrightDrop 400 electric delivery vans<\/strong> to its delivery fleet, bolstering its \u201c InHome\u201d service<\/em> in multiple cities across the United States. This service allows partner companies to deliver groceries and products directly to customers\u2019 homes, including the option of entering their homes to leave orders in the refrigerator. <\/p>\n\n

Chevrolet BrightDrop Trucks<\/h2>\n\n

The electric vans<\/strong><\/a> are produced at CAMI\u2019s assembly plant and feature innovations that facilitate operations in congested urban and residential areas. During the pilot program conducted in partnership with GM<\/strong> , Walmart drivers highlighted some of BrightDrop\u2019s features, such as its 360-degree HD surround-view camera<\/em> , which facilitates maneuverability in complex locations, and its blind spot assistance system, improving safety when driving in dense areas and neighborhoods. <\/p>\n\n

BrightDrop\u2019s ergonomic design<\/strong> provides convenience and efficiency, allowing associates to quickly enter and exit the vehicle thanks to the ergonomically accessible step. Additionally, self-closing doors optimize time at each stop, while long-lasting battery technology ensures the vans can cover long distances without requiring frequent recharges. <\/p>\n\n

The company will deploy BrightDrop<\/strong> vans in strategic areas including Austin, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Northwest Arkansas, Orlando and the San Francisco Bay Area by the end of the year, with plans to expand service to 62 million U.S. households.<\/p>\n\n
