MISC Group celebrates an important achievement with the first oil production from the FPSO Marechal Duque de Caxias<\/a><\/strong> , its floating production, storage and offloading unit, which will operate in the Mero field, in the Santos Basin, Brazil.<\/p>\n\n

This FPSO<\/a><\/strong> , one of the largest of its kind, was developed to operate efficiently in ultra-deep waters, providing sustained production flow and supporting the country’s energy goals.<\/p>\n\n

Equipped with HISEP technology for CO\u2082 reinjection<\/strong> and a water-alternating production system (WAG), the Duque de Caxias FPSO optimizes the capture and management of greenhouse gases<\/a><\/strong> . This technological innovation allows the separation of CO\u2082-rich gas from the production stream, reducing emissions<\/strong> and ensuring the sustainability of the process. In addition, it features a real-time monitoring system and predictive maintenance systems, ensuring efficient operation and extended lifespan. <\/p>\n\n
