This commitment is part of its strategic plan to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2030. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An approach to carbon removal<\/h2>\n\n<p>The initiative is part of the &#8221; <em>Carbon Dioxide Removal Purchasing Challenge<\/em> &#8221; proposed and launched by the <strong>US Department of Energy<\/strong> ( <em>DOE<\/em> ), which aims to catalyze carbon removal on a massive scale.<\/p>\n\n<p>The latest report from the <strong>Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change<\/strong> ( <em>IPCC<\/em> ) underscores the need to simultaneously reduce emissions and remove carbon from the atmosphere. Committed to this vision, Meta <strong>continues to reduce <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/methane-emissions-arctic-wetlands\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"144845\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">greenhouse gas emissions<\/a><\/strong> across its global operations. To complement these efforts, the company will support carbon neutralization projects, both based on advanced technologies and natural solutions.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Meta&#8217;s effort is focused on achieving its own sustainability goal, while encouraging other companies to join the cause.
