This move, announced without consultation with ship owners and operators, has raised concerns in the maritime sector. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Criticism over new rules on bulk carrier inspections<\/h2>\n\n<p>INTERCARGO, an organisation representing more than 250 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/compatibility-of-docks-with-vessels\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"165531\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dry bulk<\/a><\/strong> companies, stresses that while they support efforts to improve safety and operational quality, major changes such as this <strong>require the active participation of all stakeholders<\/strong> . An inclusive process, they say, would help shipping companies gradually adapt to the new demands. <\/p>\n\n<p>The main concern is that <strong>lowering the age limit could add an additional burden to bulk carrier operators and seafarers<\/strong> , who already face significant operational challenges. For INTERCARGO, time is a crucial factor in implementing such measures, and they urge <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/rightship-provides-comprehensive-maritime-services-with-safety-sustainability-and-social-responsibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"56372\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RightShip<\/a><\/strong> to reconsider the implementation deadline.
