This vessel is part of the innovative \u201c <em>Elevation Series<\/em> \u201d, specifically designed to support the expansion of offshore wind farms and provide technical support in the commissioning and maintenance of these projects. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Windcat&#8217;s first CSOV<\/h2>\n\n<p>The launching ceremony took place on October 12 at the Ha Long shipyard in Vietnam, where the six vessels in the series are being built. Delivery of this first CSOV ( <em>Commissioning Service and Operation Vessel<\/em> ) is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. <\/p>\n\n<p>The new CSOV stands out for its ability to operate for up to 30 days at sea, with a crew of up to 120 people on board. Unlike previous vessels, this vessel is equipped with a hybrid-electric propulsion system that significantly reduces energy consumption and CO\u2082 emissions. <\/p>\n\n<p>Damen Benelux Sales Director Joost van der Weiden said energy efficiency is maximised by an advanced power distribution system and a dynamic positioning system that optimises transfer operations.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A vessel designed for the future of the offshore wind sector<\/h2>\n\n<p>One of the most important features of this vessel is the ability to use hydrogen as fuel, by implementing this dual-fuel technology developed by CMB.TECH. This means that the vessel is ready to use even cleaner energy sources in the future. <\/p>\n\n<p>The creation of this &#8221; <em>Elevation<\/em> &#8221; series responds to the rapid growth of <strong>offshore wind farms<\/strong> .
