Following an environmental assessment process and public consultation, the projects are moving forward with the goal of generating at least 1,000 MW of wind power each. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kattegat and Kriegers Flak II wind farms<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>tendering process<\/strong> for both parks started in April 2024, with bids expected to be submitted by 1 April 2025. Winning developers will be responsible for conducting a full environmental impact assessment for their specific proposals, ensuring the projects are viable and environmentally sustainable, following <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/the-lolland-falster-pipeline-operation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Danish Agency<\/a><\/strong> guidelines. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>Kattegat<\/strong> <strong>wind farm<\/strong> is planned to be installed approximately 27 kilometres off the island of Anholt, 15 kilometres off Djursland and 25 kilometres off the coast in the municipality of Odsherred. With a minimum capacity of <strong>1,000 MW<\/strong> , the project is expected to be connected to the grid in Trige, Jutland, and fully operational by the end of 2030. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>Kriegers Flak II wind farm<\/strong> will be split into <strong>northern and southern<\/strong> areas with a combined minimum capacity of <strong>1,000 MW<\/strong> . The wind turbines in the southern area will be located <strong>15 kilometres<\/strong> from the island of M\u00f8n, while those in the northern area will be the same distance from <strong>R\u00f8dvig<\/strong> in south-east Zealand. This wind farm is also expected to be operational by <strong>the end of 2030<\/strong> . These projects add to the recent advancement of the <strong>North Sea Wind Zone I<\/strong> , which includes multiple offshore wind energy sites currently under tender.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Denmark&#8217;s Clean Energy Push<\/h2>\n\n<p>Denmark has been a leader in the transition to renewable energy, and the adoption of these plans underscores the country\u2019s commitment to expanding <strong>offshore wind power<\/strong> .
