{"id":193397,"date":"2024-10-03T16:29:21","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T20:29:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/the-exail-ultra-deep-water-auv\/"},"modified":"2024-10-03T16:53:10","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T20:53:10","slug":"the-exail-ultra-deep-water-auv","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/the-exail-ultra-deep-water-auv\/","title":{"rendered":"Exail develops ultra-deepwater AUVs for the French Navy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Directorate General of Defense Supply<\/strong> ( <em>DGA<\/em> ) has chosen <strong>Exail<\/strong> to develop an advanced autonomous underwater vehicle ( <em>AUV<\/em> ) with the ability to operate in ultra-deep waters of up to 6,000 meters.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exail&#8217;s ultra-deepwater AUV  <\/h2>\n\n<p>This decision will allow the French Navy to obtain its first sovereign capability for exploration and surveillance of ultra-deep waters, a vital feature of the &#8220;France 2030 plan&#8221;, which seeks to guarantee the country&#8217;s maritime sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We are honoured by the French government&#8217;s confidence. This project strengthens national sovereignty in deep-sea warfare and enables the French Navy to implement its defence strategy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>J\u00e9rome Bendell, Managing Director of Exail&#8217;s Maritime Division.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>The new AUV, based on the Ulyx architecture, a model previously developed by <em>Exail<\/em> and <em>Ifremer<\/em> , will be used in seabed surveillance missions, as well as in the <strong>protection of infrastructure<\/strong> , <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/submarine-cable-repair-ship\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"163246\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">submarine cables<\/a> and other state property. The technology will allow France to expand its monitoring capabilities, contributing to the security of its strategic interests. <\/p>\n\n<p>This AUV is part of the strategic plan &#8221; <em>France 2030<\/em> &#8221; which includes three pillars: &#8221; <em>know<\/em> &#8220;, &#8221; <em>monitor<\/em> &#8221; and &#8221; <em>act<\/em> &#8220;.
