These missions generate 3D point clouds, improving <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/quality-control-tools-and-techniques\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"91686\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">quality control<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/robot-dog-for-substation-inspection\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"142335\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inspection in industrial infrastructures<\/a><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n<p>Additionally, Boston Dynamics has collaborated with Fluke to mount the SV600 sensor on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/robot-construction-hadrian-x-first-house\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"190265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">robot<\/a><\/strong> \u2019s body. This allows the robot to navigate large facilities, automatically recharge and continue its mission without human intervention, extending its operating range. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What else can the Spot robot do?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Spot has also improved its <strong>ability to avoid obstacles<\/strong> using the Long Range Planner, an experimental feature that allows the robot to deviate up to 6 meters if it detects blockages on its predefined path.
