has a wax shell that melts when exposed to the heat of the fire, activating a salt water solution, which generates the energy needed to send a radio frequency signal. <\/p>\n\n<p>This signal is transmitted to nearby telecommunication towers or dedicated receivers, where the location of the fire is triangulated.\nThe information is then analyzed using artificial intelligence to predict the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/minimizing-risk-maximizing-return-asset-management-strategies-in-the-oil-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"86309\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">predict the risk<\/a><\/strong> and an alert is sent to local authorities and communities. <\/p>\n\n<p>The team behind Pyri relied on extensive research and collaborated with wildfire, energy and RF experts to ensure the system&#8217;s effectiveness and viability.\nWith the support of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/hazelab\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/hazelab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hazelab<\/a><\/strong> of <strong>Imperial College London<\/strong> and the <strong>Royal College of Art<\/strong>, they conducted laboratory tests to refine the design, ensuring that the device met range and durability requirements. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The forest fire detector<\/h2>\n\n<p>On the other hand, current IoT sensors and drones are complex and costly to maintain.\nUnlike Pyri technology, it is designed with environmentally friendly materials, avoiding the use of toxic components.\nIn addition, the disintegration or end-of-life of the device generates minimal environmental impact.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> \n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pyri | UK National Winner | James Dyson Award 2024\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nBUN1Oh5m6Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
