{"id":189063,"date":"2024-09-18T10:27:34","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T14:27:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/heart-aerospace-and-real-scale-demonstrator\/"},"modified":"2024-09-18T11:43:20","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T15:43:20","slug":"heart-aerospace-and-real-scale-demonstrator","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/heart-aerospace-and-real-scale-demonstrator\/","title":{"rendered":"Heart Aerospace unveils its first full-scale ES-30 hybrid-electric aircraft demonstrator"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Swedish hybrid-electric aircraft manufacturer <strong>Heart Aerospace<\/strong> has unveiled its first full-scale demonstrator aircraft in the development of its ES-30 hybrid-electric prototype for regional flights and other commercial purposes.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Heart Aerospace&#8217;s full-scale demonstrator<\/h2>\n\n<p>The demonstrator was built at the company&#8217;s Gothenburg facility and is named &#8220;Heart Experimental 1&#8221;<em>(Heart X1<\/em>), highlighting the company&#8217;s strategy of simultaneously developing design and production processes to accelerate the arrival of aerospace technologies to the market.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Our industry is approaching a 30-year innovation cycle and we have less than 25 years to decarbonize aviation. We need to develop new methods to bring net-zero aerospace technologies to market faster. It is a testament to the ingenuity and dedication of our team that we can launch a 30-seat aircraft demonstrator with a completely new, largely in-house propulsion system in less than two years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>Anders Forslund, co-founder and CEO of Heart Aerospace.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>With a wingspan of 32 meters, the <strong>Heart X1 <\/strong>will serve as a platform for extensive ground testing, focusing on loading, taxiing and procedural operations.\nIt is scheduled to perform its first all-electric<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/airbus-flights-with-hydrogen-the-a380-aircraft\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"127204\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first all-electric flight<\/a><\/strong> in the second quarter of 2025, as Heart Aerospace prepares to test critical systems in the coming months. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>development of the Heart X1<\/strong> was made possible in part by grants from the <strong>Swedish Innovation Agency<\/strong><em>(Vinnova<\/em>), highlighting the importance of collaboration between industry and government in creating sustainable aviation technologies.\nThe experience gained with the Heart X1, on the other hand, will allow the company to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/heartaerospace.com\/newsroom\/heart-aerospace-files-patent-for-innovative-nacelle-integration-design-improving-flight-characteristics-of-the-es-30\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/heartaerospace.com\/newsroom\/heart-aerospace-files-patent-for-innovative-nacelle-integration-design-improving-flight-characteristics-of-the-es-30\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">company<\/a><\/strong> focus on building a pre-production prototype called Heart X2, which will fly with a hybrid-electric propulsion system in 2026. <\/p>\n\n<p>Heart Aerospace&#8217;s ultimate goal is to obtain certification for the ES-30 by the end of the decade.\nThis <strong>hybrid-electric regional aircraft<\/strong>, with a standard 30-seat capacity, offers a zero-emission electric range of 200 kilometers and an extended hybrid range of 400 kilometers.\nThe company aims to change regional flights by offering a sustainable and efficient solution that will
