Stafford County Public Schools and Madison Energy Infrastructure (MEI) unveiled Virginia’s largest school solar energy system<\/strong>, installed on the rooftop of North Stafford High School.\nThis 1.8 MW project, comprised of 3,300 solar panels<\/strong>, is expected to save about $2.8 million in electricity bills over the next 25 years. <\/p>\n\n

During the groundbreaking ceremony, prominent figures including Dr.\nHeather Boushey, chief economist for the U.S. Investment Cabinet, and Virginia State Senators Tara Durant and Jeremy McPike were on hand to highlight the importance of the project.\nAlso in attendance were local leaders, including Dr.\nPamela Yeung, a member of the County Board of Supervisors, and Maureen Siegmund, chair of the Stafford School Board. <\/p>\n\n
