In an interview conducted by our team, Nishith Soni<\/strong>, Managing Director of IRM and Krunal Vakil<\/strong>, Regional Manager, shared details about future plans and the importance of their participation in the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soni explained that IRM Europe<\/strong>, with more than 60 years of experience, is recognized globally for its complete range of marine fenders and its advanced technology in offshore products<\/a><\/strong> which are essential for the safety of port and platform operations. With more than<\/strong> 500 types of fenders<\/strong> in its portfolio and presence in 88 countries, IRM stands out for being the only company in the world that offers such a wide range of solutions for the marine and oil industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the interview, Nishith Soni<\/a><\/strong> highlighted the constant challenges faced by the industry, such as updating technical specifications and continuous improvements in manufacturing systems. Despite these challenges, IRM has managed to adapt and maintain high quality standards<\/a><\/strong>. This has allowed them to expand their market share in Latin America, where they currently have a 25% market share, with the goal of reaching 50% or more in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As for the company’s future plans, Soni revealed that IRM<\/a><\/strong> is in the process of building a new manufacturing plant in India, which will be four times larger<\/strong> than its current capacity<\/strong>, making it the largest factory of its kind in the world.\nIn addition, locations are being evaluated to establish distribution centers in the United States, Panama or in a Central or Latin American country, in order to facilitate the distribution and assembly of products in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Krunal Vakil<\/a><\/strong> underlined the importance of the SLOM Conference<\/a><\/strong> for the company, which has been a key point in the company’s expansion since its first participation in 2021.\nVakil mentioned that, despite language barriers, the reception from the Spanish-speaking community has been exceptional, which has driven significant business growth over the past three years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vakil also explained in detail how marine fenders work, highlighting their crucial role in the protection of port structures and the safety of ship berthing operations<\/strong>.\nAccording to his experience, the high quality fenders manufactured by IRM can have a service life of between 15 and 20 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
