{"id":186652,"date":"2024-09-09T15:43:56","date_gmt":"2024-09-09T19:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/will-create-iron-phosphate-plant-canada\/"},"modified":"2024-09-09T15:52:13","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T19:52:13","slug":"will-create-iron-phosphate-plant-canada","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/will-create-iron-phosphate-plant-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"10,000 ton iron phosphate plant to be established in Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>First Phosphate Corp.\nhas selected the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region of Quebec, Canada as the site for its <strong>new iron phosphate plant<\/strong>, key to the production of cathode active material (pCAM) used in <strong>lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the new iron phosphate plant<\/h2>\n\n<p>This plant, known as <strong>First Saguenay<\/strong>, will be capable of producing up to 10,000 tons per year and represents an important step in the supply chain of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/zinc-ion-battery-megafactory\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"185752\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">battery supply chain<\/a><\/strong> North American battery supply chain.<\/p>\n\n<p>This project not only promises a technological breakthrough in the development of LFP batteries, but will also generate around 100 new high-tech jobs in the region, with the support of several local stakeholders, such as Promotions Saguenay and the Saguenay-Le Fjord Chamber of Commerce and Industry.\nIn addition, the plant is strategically located near the Port of Saguenay, which will facilitate the transportation of products both within and outside the country. <\/p>\n\n<p>The company has also signed a lease agreement with Logistique Proco Inc. which will act as the main contractor for the construction and refurbishment of the facility.
