The City Council of Telde<\/strong> has announced the closure of the beaches of San Borond\u00f3n and Palos, adding to the beaches of La Restinga, which were restricted, due to the arrival of a fuel oil spill<\/strong>, which reached the coasts of the Spanish municipality.<\/p>\n\n

The spill originated on Wednesday night<\/strong> at the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas.\nSome people made the report, activating safety protocols and local alerts, after the emergency situation was generated. <\/p>\n\n

The mayor of Telde, Juan Antonio Pe\u00f1a, went to the affected area to supervise the clean-up work<\/strong> being carried out by Salvamento Mar\u00edtimo.\nHowever, the adverse weather conditions and the large amount of spilled fuel<\/a><\/strong> have hindered the efforts to mitigate the situation. <\/p>\n\n
