has announced the inauguration of the world&#8217;s first zinc-ion battery mega-factory.\nWith this expansion, it promotes growth in the production of industrial batteries. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The world&#8217;s first zinc-ion battery mega-factory<\/h2>\n\n<p>This new facility, called <strong>Enerpoly Production Innovation Center<\/strong><em>(EPIC<\/em>), is located in Rosersberg, north of Stockholm, and will have an area of 6,500 m\u00b2.\nWith a projected production capacity of 100 MWh per year by 2026, the plant will start operations in 2025. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>EPIC <\/strong>will facilitate the large-scale production of energy storage solutions, offering a more sustainable, safer and affordable alternative to battery technologies.\nEnerpoly has also integrated state-of-the-art technology into its production line, which will reduce costs, waste and energy consumption. <\/p>\n\n<p>Eloisa de Castro, CEO of Enerpoly, mentioned that the company&#8217;s megafactory is committed to meeting the growing demand for renewable energy storage in Europe and the world.\nIn addition, zinc-ion batteries use abundant raw materials such as zinc and manganese as an ideal choice for industrial, commercial, utility and even marine applications.\nThese batteries enable safety, sustainability and affordability, defining them as an option to meet global sustainability targets, such as those set by COP28.  <\/p>\n\n<p>With this mega-factory, the company seeks to strengthen the supply chain <strong><a
