Berkeley <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does &#8220;orange mold&#8221; act on waste?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Through multi-omics analysis, the study determined that <em>N. intermedia<\/em> effectively degrades pectins and cellulose during fermentation, improving the protein content of by-products such as okara by 12%.\nIn addition, <strong>the fungus does not produce mycotoxins<\/strong>, ensuring its safety for consumption in global contexts beyond Indonesia. <\/p>\n\n<p>Importantly, the results of a sensory analysis conducted in Denmark with more than 60 participants confirmed that products fermented with <em>N. intermedia<\/em> were well received, describing them as &#8220;earthy&#8221; and &#8220;nutty&#8221;.\nThis highlights the potential of this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/fungus-controlled-biohybrid-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"184108\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fungus<\/a><\/strong> not
