Air Liquide continues to strengthen its energy targets with the inauguration of a 20 MW electrolyzer plant<\/strong> at its facility in Oberhausen, Germany.\nThis plant, considered the largest of its kind in the country, will produce up to 2,900 tons of green hydrogen per year using PEM electrolyzer technology<\/strong> developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy. <\/p>\n\n

The plant was inaugurated in the presence of Hendrik W\u00fcst, the Prime Minister of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, who stressed the importance of hydrogen as a vital solution for a climate-neutral future<\/strong>, especially in energy-intensive industries such as steel and chemicals.<\/p>\n\n

The start-up and operation of this large electrolyzer is a historic event for the care and protection of the environment in our industrial region and brings us closer to becoming the first climate-neutral industrial region in Europe.<\/p>\nW\u00fcst stated.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n

The power supply<\/strong> for the plant is secured by a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft<\/strong>, which will provide wind power<\/a><\/strong>ensuring that the hydrogen produced is fully renewable and complies with European clean energy standards.<\/p>\n\n
