{"id":182877,"date":"2024-08-26T15:41:32","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T19:41:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/the-floating-solar-plant-floating-solarduck\/"},"modified":"2025-07-14T10:13:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-14T14:13:09","slug":"the-floating-solar-plant-floating-solarduck","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/the-floating-solar-plant-floating-solarduck\/","title":{"rendered":"SolarDuck&#8217;s floating solar plant in Tokyo Bay passes first severe weather test"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dutch-Norwegian company <strong>SolarDuck <\/strong>has announced that its <strong>Offshore Photovoltaic Demonstration Plant<\/strong><em>(OFPV<\/em>) in Tokyo Bay, known as <em>Teal<\/em>, has successfully passed its first severe weather test.\nOn August 16, Typhoon <em>Ampil <\/em>hit the region near Tokyo, causing strong winds and heavy rain.\nDespite these adverse conditions, <strong>SolarDuck&#8217;s floating solar power plant<\/strong> proved highly resilient to the adverse weather event.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SolarDuck&#8217;s floating solar plant<\/h2>\n\n<p>This achievement is a testament to the robustness of SolarDuck&#8217;s design, which has been specifically developed to withstand typhoons, a common threat in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.<em>&#8220;We look forward to continued cooperation with our partner Tokyu Land Corporation<\/em>,&#8221;
