TransOceanic Wind Transport (TOWT) has taken delivery of its second cargo vessel cargo sailing ship, the Artemis, after more than two years of<\/a><\/strong>the Artemis<\/strong>, after more than two years of construction at the PIRIOU shipyard in Vietnam.\nThis vessel, which joins the “Anemos” in TOWT’s innovative fleet, represents a further step towards the decarbonization of maritime transport<\/a><\/strong>using wind energy as the main means of propulsion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artemis vessel prepares for maiden voyage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The “Artemis”<\/strong>, largely built at PIRIOU’s X51 site in Vietnam, maintains one-third French components, reflecting international collaboration in its development. The vessel<\/a> was delivered on August 20, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City<\/strong>, from where it is preparing for its first voyage in the Indian Ocean, carrying products such as tea, coffee and technological equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n
