Oceana UK has stepped up its fight for the protection of the oceans by filing with 19 other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) a legal challenge in the UK Supreme Court.\nThe environmental organization argues that the 31 UK offshore oil and gas licenses<\/a> issued in May 2024 by the previous government are “unlawful”<\/strong> due to their impact on the marine environment and lack of consideration of scientific advice. <\/p>\n\n
