Saudi Arabia continues to boost its mining sector, opening bids for the exploration of seven new sites hosting deposits of gold, silver, copper<\/a> and other valuable metals<\/strong>.\nThis initiative is part of the kingdom’s ambitious plan to develop an estimated $2.5 trillion<\/strong> mining sector, a key component in its economic diversification strategy. <\/p>\n\n

Bids for 7 mining sites are open<\/h2>\n\n

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced that tenders will be open until September 2024<\/strong>, offering interested parties the opportunity to explore nearly 1,000 km2<\/sup> of territory for mineral resources.\nAmong the highlighted sites are: <\/p>\n\n

  1. Umm Qasir<\/strong>, in the Riyadh region, which extends over 20 km2<\/sup> and contains gold, silver, lead and zinc deposits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Jabal Sabha<\/strong> in Riyadh, where 171 km2<\/sup> of land is presumed to hold reserves of silver, lead, zinc and cobalt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Wadi Ad Dawsh<\/strong>, in the Aseer region, with an area of 157.7 km2<\/sup>, is rich in gold, silver and copper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Shaib Marqan<\/strong> in Riyadh, which covers 92 km2<\/sup>, contains promising gold, silver and copper deposits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Wadi Al Junah<\/strong> in Aseer, whose 425.37 km2<\/sup> contain copper, silver, zinc and gold.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Hazm Shubat<\/strong> in Aseer, covering 93.47 km2<\/sup> with gold reserves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Huwaymidan <\/strong>in Mecca, with an area of 34 km2<\/sup>, is also known for its gold deposits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
