farm, called &#8220;Winds of September Phase 1&#8221;<\/strong>.\nThis project is part of the upcoming Floating Demonstration Program that the Taiwanese government plans to launch by the end of 2024. <\/p>\n\n<p>The<strong>&#8220;Winds of September Phase 1<\/strong>&#8221; project will involve the installation of up to <strong>12 floating platforms with a total capacity of 180 MW<\/strong>, located 23 km off the coast of the city of Hsinchu.\nFrom its start-up in 2021, this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/windsofseptember.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">project<\/a><\/strong> has been developed with a meticulous approach, including a floating lidar campaign to assess energy performance. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Winds of September Phase 1: Taiwan&#8217;s first floating wind farm<\/h2>\n\n<p>Site selection and project design have been guided by a thorough environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) process, as well as geophysical studies analyzing ground conditions.\nThese efforts ensure that the project is tailored to Taiwan&#8217;s unique environmental constraints and natural conditions. <\/p>\n\n<figure Development Center (MIRDC), BlueFloat Energy is working on analyzing local supply chain capacity for the manufacture of mooring and anchoring systems for the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/base-turbines-floating-marine-wind-energy\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"150175\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">floating offshore wind energy<\/a><\/strong>.\nThis agreement reaffirms the company&#8217;s commitment to the development of a competitive offshore wind industry in Taiwan. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the collaboration with MIRDC, the company has worked closely with local communities, including the Hsinchu Fishermen&#8217;s Association, to ensure harmonious integration of the project with the local environment and activities.\nStakeholder involvement has been key to the success of the environmental and social assessments. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The future of floating wind
