{"id":177046,"date":"2024-08-05T10:19:30","date_gmt":"2024-08-05T14:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/heliorec-and-solar-floating-model-tests\/"},"modified":"2024-08-05T13:36:45","modified_gmt":"2024-08-05T17:36:45","slug":"heliorec-and-solar-floating-model-tests","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/heliorec-and-solar-floating-model-tests\/","title":{"rendered":"HelioRec concludes testing of floating solar model with support from Centrale Nantes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>French start-up <strong>HelioRec<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>Centrale Nantes <\/strong>of the University of Nantes, has successfully completed testing of the wave tank for its <strong>W200CM floating solar model<\/strong>.\nThis full-scale prototype was designed and manufactured in Brittany by EMP ROTOMOULAGE, a company specialized in rotational molding, and assembled by the HelioRec team with the support of the Bassins d&#8217;essais group of Centrale Nantes. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Testing of the floating solar model W200CM<\/h2>\n\n<p>During these tests, wave heights of up to one meter were reached, allowing engineers to evaluate the model&#8217;s behavior from multiple angles.\nTo achieve detailed monitoring, they were<strong> conducted in multiple wave conditions, ranging from regular to irregular<\/strong>.\nIn addition, eight wave gauges were installed in the ocean basin, along with four load cells on the catenary mooring lines, in order <strong>to accurately measure the forces<\/strong> involved.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Also, six load cells were strategically added at different points on the prototype to ensure detailed measurement of the applied force.\nTo complement these measurements, <strong>Qualisys <\/strong>motion capture cameras accurately tracked the movements of the model&#8217;s 16 floats and four trails, enabling accurate analysis, with six degrees of freedom for each component, with the &#8220;rigid body&#8221; feature. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>HelioRec&#8217;<\/strong> s <strong>floating solar system<\/strong> integrates an advanced automatic learning system, which optimizes power generation and maintenance operations.\nMoreover, it adds a &#8220;hydroblocking&#8221;
