This collaboration promises to establish Nigeria as a regional pioneer in lithium mining and the production of batteries and electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Nigeria&#8217;s lithium project<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Jupiter Critical Minerals Project covers a vast area of 442 km\u00b2 and is expected to play a key role in building a robust local industry with production capacity. Currently focused on contract mining, Jupiter Lithium has expansion plans to operate independently on a large scale. This includes the installation of a <strong>spodumene concentrate<\/strong> plant, which is estimated to produce 55,000 tons of 6% lithium spodumene concentrate annually, starting in the first quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n\n<p>ReElement will be responsible for the design and operation of a lithium and critical minerals refinery, processing the spodumene concentrate to extract high purity lithium carbonate, among other essential minerals. ReElement&#8217;s <strong>chromatographic purification technology<\/strong> is important for the establishment of a lithium carbonate processing plant in the region, with active plans for site selection and the pursuit of financing with regional investors.<\/p>\n\n<p>The project will be developed in several phases, including exploration, development, mining and processing, thus ensuring its economic viability and minimizing long-term risks. This approach is also supported by the Nigerian government and is expected to contribute to the country&#8217;s economic diversification. In addition, ReElement&#8217;s exclusive purchase agreement will guarantee a local supply of lithium carbonate. <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/eramet-direct-lithium-extraction-plant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\n  <strong>lithium carbonate<\/strong>\n<\/a> with a purity of more than 99.9%.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;This is a major step forward in maximizing the value of natural resources and promoting job creation through broader and innovative industrialization.
