Launched in 2007, <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/the-iter-presented-update-proposal\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"166602\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the ITER platform<\/a>\n<\/strong> platform has been meticulously documented by advanced aerial photography techniques, using everything from helium balloons to modern drones, providing a unique view of the development of this 42-hectare complex.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More than a decade of progress captured in images<\/h2>\n\n<p>Over the years, aerial photography experts and, on occasion, ITER staff have flown over the construction site, capturing detailed images with the help of helicopters, ultralight aircraft and drones. This method has made it possible to observe not only the expansion of the project, but also the intricate details of the construction from multiple perspectives.<\/p>\n\n<figure progressing?<\/h2>\n\n<p>The most recent photograph, taken last June, shows that after 14 years of continuous work, the structure has reached its &#8220;almost final appearance&#8221;. Civil works are complete, except for the hot cells and radioactive waste facility. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/uk-bury-nuclear-waste\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"153009\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hot cells and radioactive waste<\/a>\n<\/strong> which will be added soon next to the Tokamak <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/fusion-energy-with-tokamak-superconductor\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"166740\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tokamak complex<\/a>\n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Despite facing several significant delays and the experimental reactor not expected to be <strong>operational until 2034<\/strong>, ITER maintains an optimistic approach towards project completion.
