(MOL) announced yesterday the completion of the <strong>Green Winds bulk carrier<\/strong>, a 63,896 DWT Ultramax vessel. Equipped with the innovative Wind Challenger wind propulsion system, the vessel was completed at the Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. facility in Saikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture.<\/p>\n\n<p>MOL Drybulk Ltd., a subsidiary of the MOL Group, will be in charge of operating this advanced vessel.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Green Winds bulk carrier sets new standard<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>Green Winds <\/strong>is the second of nine MOL Group vessels that are equipped or will be equipped with the Wind Challenger system. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/install-wind-challenger-challenger-transport-vessel\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/instalan-wind-challenger-buque-de-transporte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wind Challenger system<\/a>\n<\/strong>system, now being the <strong>first bulk carrier in the world to adopt this technology<\/strong>. Source: MOL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">MOL&#8217;s decarbonization strategy<\/h2>\n\n<p>As part of its environmental commitment, MOL has set ambitious targets in its &#8220;<em>\n  <strong>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mol.co.jp\/en\/sustainability\/environment\/vision\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.mol.co.jp\/en\/sustainability\/environment\/vision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MOL Group Environmental Vision 2.2<\/a>\n  <\/strong>\n<\/em>&#8220;including <strong>achieving zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050<\/strong>. One of the key strategies to meet these objectives is the widespread implementation of energy saving technologies.
