The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has granted permits to the companies Energinet and Evida to operate the Lolland-Falster pipeline<\/strong>. This pipeline is located in the waters of Storstr\u00f8mmen and Guldborg Sund, Denmark.<\/p>\n\n

Use of the Lolland-Falster pipeline<\/h2>\n\n

The DEA has issued a \n license to Energinet<\/strong>\n<\/a> which will allow them to begin operation of the pipeline<\/a><\/strong> in the Storstr\u00f8mmen lake area. On the other hand, Evida has received an authorization to start operation of the same pipeline in the Guldborg Sund region. These approvals are granted under Article 2 of Executive Order No. 1520 of December 15, 2017, which regulates certain pipeline installations in maritime territories and the Danish continental shelf, and has been amended by Executive Order No. 1431 of June 25, 2021.<\/p>\n\n

The Lolland-Falster pipeline is an integral part of a larger project connecting Everdrup in Zeeland to Nakskov in Lolland. This specific section of the pipeline extends underwater<\/strong> at the Storstr\u00f8mmen and Guldborg Sund crossings. The infrastructure covers a total length of approximately 115 kilometers and is designed to transport up to 290 million cubic meters of natural gas per year, offering a considerable improvement in energy supply capacity, as well as cost-effectiveness over time.<\/p>\n\n

The pipeline is scheduled to be commissioned by August 30, 2024, according to the current plans of the companies involved.<\/p>\n\n
