The mine is expected to <strong>produce between 100,000 and 140,000 tons of zinc in concentrate during the next year<\/strong>. This capacity places Kipushi as the fourth largest zinc mine in the world, highlighting its importance in the global mining industry. The mine is not only a giant in production, but also an example of efficiency and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expansion of processing and commercial alliances<\/h2>\n\n<p>Basic engineering is already underway to increase the Kipushi concentrator&#8217;s processing capacity by 20% to 960,000 tons per year. This increase will allow the mine to maximize its production and efficiency, ensuring a constant and high quality supply of zinc to the market.<\/p>\n\n<p>To ensure Kipushi&#8217;s continued success, Ivanhoe Mines has signed zinc concentrate purchase agreements with. <strong>\n  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metal.citic.com\/en\/html\/out\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.metal.citic.com\/en\/html\/out\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CITIC Metal <\/a>\n<\/strong>and Trafigura.
